The way OACIQ feeds from the nourishing hands is outrageous, period!

OACIQ was meant to protect the public which in turn is supposed to help us increase our sales by having the public trust us. So far what I have seen from OACIQ is a group of people who managed to get a bogus job and making life very hard for most brokers with their one rule should apply to everything.

We are on the road most of the days, away from our families but these guys get paid regardless of their performances and most likely, most of them are getting paid high salaries (except the people in the call center)

We are paying more and more every day but they are doing less and less everyday. They can not even protect our profession by keeping MLS only accessible to brokers only.

It is like asking ODQ, (Order of Quebec Dentists) to allow any schmuck to post whatever they would like on their system (database) which by the way was developed and paid for by dentists who were a member of that order.

GMREB and OACIQ are both parasites which needs to be cleansed.

Well, Excuse me!  How else do you want OACIQ cover up their incompetence? ;)  How can you expect these guys work from a normal office building... The people in OACIQ sometimes talk to you in such a way, as if you are a criminal.. totally unacceptable from an organization which exists based on our contributions!

#31 ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!!!

How can we do so everybody or at least most of them sign!!!! If we let this happen now, we are fried for the future. Each time they need money, we are going to be obliged to pay for the risk of our permit... This is unreal, like a disgusting dictatorship!!! Unbelievable! I don't know why brokers are afraid to show who they are? I was thinking today about DuPropio... no fees and no dictatorial law... we should probably get together and create a DuPropio avec ex brokers..... I don't know, I just feel hopeless and tired of this shit! The stupid video of Mr. President is to cry... he was trying to convince us, but he had to mention the expenses they have!!! What do they think we are.... dunkies!!! At least with our Real Estate Boards we get tools to work... a lot les expensive.. and I wonder, how they survive? if the OACIQ is not able now? the Real Estate Boards also have call centers and they work longer hours.... This is just insane and totally not fair for our profession. They are going to be a lot of brokers going to retire soon... and then what? are we going to be again on the bbq?
Come on brokers!!! let's do this together!! Let's join our efforts!!!! Let's pass the message on to everybody!

#32 Yes, I agree enough is enough.

Yes, I think enough is enough, its unfair how some of the OACIQ workers treats us in the name of protecting the public. Even when your hands are clean but some troublemakers went ahead and report you to the Board. Sometimes the OACIQ workers speaks to us with harsh and intimidating tone of voice as if they are a kind of God (arrogantly) and as if they are untouchables. Whereas their salaries are being paid with our sweats. Yes,its true they should rethink how they treats us R/E Brokers e.t.c.

The annual dues we pay to the OACIQ have not been explained to us, other than that they are necessary for the maintenance of professional standards. Follow-up training is a part of the maintenance of professional standards, and is therefore included and paid for with our annual dues. Additional fees for training are only justified if that training is optional.

All these mandatory course fees what a rip off ! $ 344.00 for what? we already know everything they are going to say if we don`t they can post it on the proactive or OACIQ site . Next they rent out convention rooms in hotels feeding the billionare Hilton owners more money they don`t need when all these seminars can easily be held for free in their million dollar state of the art OACIQ headquarters building in "beautiful" suburbia Brossard . One of the comments here was bang on right, let`s join forces with Du Proprio No fees and no Dictator law !

#47 L'OACIQ !

2013-10-05 15:05
